We are currently transcribing the burial data from the three cemeteries into Excel spreadsheets in order to make the data usable.
Community Service
​
​We participated in Marietta College's Community Days where we focused mainly on Oak Grove Cemetery. Leaves were raked, limbs were piled, and ditches were cleaned. The mausoleum was also cleaned. Sections that needed attention were noted.
Our group has a great working relationship with Marietta College. Interns have transcribed cemetery records. Marietta College students have created a program to display our cemetery records, and they have collaborated with Buckeye Hills to integrate their program with GIS mapping that will ultimately create an interactive map of Mound Cemetery.
